This is a 2 page letter was written by Dr. Claiborne James Walton to his wife. My Dad is his first cousin, three times removed. It was written during the battle at Kennesaw Mountain, GA,
on June 29, 1864, near where Aunt Beckey & Uncle Dale now live.

Dr. Walton was my great grandfather Joseph Gadberry's full first cousin. He writes of the horrors of war and suffering. His letter will bring incite to what the Civil War was really like.
