W. Ray Vickery, 67, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, in Columbia. Memorial services were held at noon Dec. 11 at Salem United Methodist Church. Mr. Vickery was born March 9, 1939. He was former owner and publisher of The Salem News and 1990 president of the Missouri Press Association. Ray's wife was my Aunt Boots. My Father's sister.
